Default iTunes shows 15 Application updates available but

Does anyone understand why the iTunes store is showing that I have 15 Application updates waiting, yet when I click on the "15 Updates available" button I get a message telling me that no updates are available.

To complicate it just a bit more, the App Store application on my iPhone indicates there are 11 updates available.

    I'm confused

Make sure you're signed into the iTunes store with the same account you used to buy the apps. I noticed the other day I had 3 updates, but then when I clicked it it said I had none. So I signed out and signed into my other account and my updates were there.

yeah, it's a bastard that it can't update across accounts, but you'll find that is your problem.

    Default it was 2 accounts...

... one was for an account ending in .com, the other ending in .com.au - have no idea why I have 2 accounts when the "au" account is the correct one.

    thanks

I also have two iTunes accounts (a .Mac iTunes account was created automatically/accidentally despite my having another established account) but the incorrect available update notification occurs on both accounts. I never use the .Mac iTunes account, so I don't think this is my issue. I'll stay tuned for more ideas!
