    Default MacX - quality?

    Merry Christmas all.

In an attempt to organise and de cluter, im ripping all my DVDs onto my iMac. I have bought MacX. I have done about 10 movies, put them in iFlicks and then into iTunes. Having quickly watched bits of them, im concerned that the end result is not DVD quality??

any tips on the settings to use in each of these apps?

my end result is to be able to watch them through my apple tv (gn3)

    cheers

Personally I'd use Handbrake for ripping, it's free and does an excellent job. Simply select the Apple TV3 preset and you're goo to go, then tag with iFlicks.

thanks Bro and happy new year

Do you choose any of the other settings in Handbrake to get best quality?

what do you mean "Tag" with iFlicks?

    cheers

    No, no other settings.

iFlicks allows you to 'tag' or add metadata to the video file so that iTunes will display cover art, descriptions etc. but I assume you are already doing that anyway since you specifically mentioned iFlicks.
