Default What's your telstra mobile speedtest

My telstra connection is great. but I'm getting less than stella speedtest. Phone problem? or is it because speedtest using Optus mirror. How can I get the real speed of my connection?

I don't know the answers to your questions, but I'm on Telstra too and get anywhere from .58mbps up to just under 6mbps (checking my last few tests). Just depends where I am I guess.

On average I'd say minimum 3mbps, usually around 4mbps... anything under would be rare, but has happened.

I haven't tried tethering yet though either.

I have actually had a couple of issues with my speed. Apparently Telstra are in the process of maintenance and software upgrades on a lot of their base stations in order to increase capacity and as a result data has been temporarily affected.

My speed returned today to a more acceptable 2.5Mbps up and down with a 150ms ping. I am now satisfied.

I hope this is the case because my speed has had a sudden and dramatic drop. I hope they get the maintenance done before next week as I use he Mt Panorama tower Although I have been told that the phone company puts in more cell towers during race week (I'm sure a new one has been put up just recently)
