    Default Sim Card from Optus

    Has anyone recevied the new sim from optus yet?

    as today was the day to recevied them

    We received our three today in great anticipation of Friday, only to discover that Optus had sent me three Normal Sims instead!!!

    Cordonbleu rang Optus customer service with much anger today!!!

    I didn't order online or phone as time was running out so I went into an Optus store today and got the physical micro SIM update on the spot - I suggest you do the same to avoid long wait on Friday.

    The catch was (of course there's a catch): Optus wants to charge me $25 for the micro SIM!!!!!!! I said "what? Even for an upgrade/swap?" I even got the manager out and was told the it was changed a week and half ago, they said I can have it for free if I buy some accessories (I mean outdated accessories as Friday those cases would be useless) I can't believe it and was about to leave, since I was going to Telstra anyway, they said they can give me any case for $25 and the SIM for free, I though since I was going to give the iPhone 3GS to a family member and I never bothered with a case before so why not? So I ended up getting a Speck case that retailed for $40 - for $25 and got my number moved to the new SIM on the spot...

    Long story short, if you can wait, it's free (or get a wrong one in the mail) or you can fork out $25 for a SIM and some leftover accessories can be anything, iPhone, iPad any accessory) for discounted price, and the moral? F$&k Optus, greedy f$&@ers! Or just cut it up yourselves

    If it's of any similarity I haven't received my ordered 2-in-1 SIM card yet either.

    I swapped a PrePaid sim for a Micro/2in1 sim at Optus today.

    It was $2, the cost of a new Prepaid sim pack, and they put my existing number on it immediately. (Did not need to activate the new pack as a new service)

    you just helped him move his aged stock. a common practise in the telco industry, and in most cases, pure profit.

    Yeah, I thought it was a bit scamy at the time, i pushed and tried to bluff them out, though I didn't believe it could get this low, so sad. That it happened in a Optus shop and not a third party shop, oh well, I got a case for the almost new 3GS that I've got, still a nice present for this family member, no biggies, I'll learn next time, thought I'd warn others not to fall for it, thanks

    Got our Optus prepaid 2 in 1 sims today.For anyone going to Optus the $2 ones are the 2in 1 sims.There's no distinguishing writing on the packets between the $2 one and the $30 starter pack.As bloke had to open the packets...Fuck Me surprised to get them as I live in the country.

    the $2 ones at my store arent 2 in 1 . And we only got them two days ago. Maybe you got lucky, or we (our shop) got shafted
