Default How to get text messages off iphone?

Just going through my daughters phone and a lot of concerning stuff there. Just want to get a transcript of it all rather than message by message.

Is there anyway of getting messages off so can be printed off?

    Many thanks!

When you say concerning? Are you referring to messages received, or sent.

I'd suggest if it is the latter, you talk to your child, nothing worse to a child is a parent spying on them, expect a backlash either way.

If it's the former, you still need to talk to her, remember even though you probably pay for the phone, it she's responsible enough to have it, the law will state that she is 'of sound state of mind'.

Oh and yes, there is software out there, which will back sms messages. You will need her consent to access it, and keep it, otherwise you'll be breaking the law.
There is something in Commonwealth law about using a telecommunications device to menace or harrass.

Phoneview will do the trick. Just plug the iphone into your mac, close itunes, and launch phoneview.

PhoneView for iPhone and iPad - iPhone Disk Mode, SMS, Voicemail, Call History, Music, Photos, Notes Access - Ecamm Network

    At $20 USD it's a bargain.

I use an app called SMS Export from the itunes app store which works fine if not elegantly.

I would agree with some of the thoughts on the original reply about talking to your daughter (a situation I will no doubt face soon as my kids approach the age of getting a mobiles).

Phone View is your best bet as davedave has suggested, and has been suggested many times before when the same question has been asked. Please search before posting new topics.
