Default iPhone refusing to connect to iMac

    Hey guys,

Having an odd problem with my iPhone, when I try to connect it to my iMac, theres no response from either the phone or the iMac. What I mean by that, is nothing happens at all - both continue to act as if there is no USB cable connected.

Plugging it into the wall charger with the same USB cable is fine, and I've tried connecting it to the computer with about 5 different USB cables.

When I connect it to my MacBook, It works perfectly and I've just restored the phone using the MacBook, but the iMac is the machine I use to sync everything with it.

    Any ideas? :S

Have you tried plugging in to all the USB ports on the iMac?

When you did/do plug the cable in, does the iPhone show that it is charging?

Yep, at first I thought that the USB hub might be dead, but I tried using all the ports and different cables.

It doesn't appear as charging, just stays in exactly the same state as if it were not plugged in.

If you've tried plugging in to all the iMacs ports (not an external hub), create a new account to log in to and see if the iPhone is recognised. Sounds daft, but sometimes a fresh account works. (I've done this when other USB devices don't get recognised)
