Default iPhone has deleted all my music?

    Hi there,

All my music on my iPhone has disappeared. All playlists, podcasts and videos. I am travelling at the moment and can't sync it to my mac. I'm pretty sure all the content is still on he iPhone given the memory available on the phone. I can only guess that I was downloading a podcast from the iTunes store may have screwed things up? Please help- no music is very annoying, esp while travelling!

Something similar has just happen to me.

I just download 3 new songs over 3G onto the phone(new David McCormack ex Custard FWIW).

When I went to the iPod on the phone to listen to them, all the other music was gone. Only the three newly downloaded tracks are there. Although the disc space it still being used.

    Any ideas?

I still have no fix. Same as you, only the podcasts that I downloaded are showing up on my iPhone. I don't know if the fact that I am not in Oz at the moment and havIng dowloaded podcasts thru iTunes may have triggered something with the iTunes store disabling all my music??

I just downloaded 2 podcasts and when I went to itunes all my music was gone. I restarted, but that never works. Do you have a fix?

No "fix", but once I re-synced my iPhone with iTunes the music reappeared. But I was unable to access any music except the song I had downloaded until I did so.

It's all still there, you will notice the space is still occupied.

There does seem to be a bug, related to when you buy music/podcast over 3G then swtich to the ipod.

    Sorry I can't help more.

This also happened to me and the only way I could fix it was to re-sync my phone to iTunes. It happened after my iPhone ran completely out of battery and shut down.

This happened to me as well.

I accessed my music on my iphone. Itunes said something about accessing my library and it would take a few minutes. It then said I had no songs.

The space is still occupied, but I can't access the music.
I can't resync as iTunes says there is not enough space remaining on the iphone.
When connected to iTunes 9 on my mac, the music and video have changed to "other".

Please help, I really want to access my music.

Happend to me as well a few times spoke to Applecare and the only way to fix it is to resync with Itunes on your local machine.

Always have double backup, one in PC. Wish you can get get your songs back. Download the music again is annoying and timewaisting. May be you can have a try on iPhone data recovery.

You can try the free version first, to scan your device, to see can you recover data from iphone.

If you have no backup file that you can recover from, I think it is a good method to try recovery tool to retrieve deleted iphone music.
You can have a try, usually, they can help you get back lost or deleted data from your phone's memory, but remember , don't add more data to your phone after data loss.
