Default Mail toolbar missing (buttons to compose, delete etc)

    Hey guys,

Iv been trying to find something that relates to this problem on google for a while but cant find anything close.

On my iphone 3gs i have a gmail account setup on Mail. Just a few days ago, i went into mail to find that the bottom toolbar is missing, u know where the buttons are to write and delete emails. Its just replaced with a black bar.

Iv tried deleting the account and re-creating but iv never seen it since.

If anyone has experienced this id love to hear, a solution would be great too

Try holding down the power button while Mail is open, when the "slide to power off" screen appears, let go of the power button and hold down the home button for about 5-7 seconds until the home screen reappears.

This will force quit the app, so when you launch it again it should launch normally. I haven't had your particular issue, but if an Apple app that is allowed to run in the background like Mail, Safari or iPod has a UI issue, this usually resolves it.

It would also help to know if you have jailbroken your phone. If you don't know what that is, then you haven't done it.

I began having the same problem today on my new 5s iPhone. I could no longer see the normal mail toolbar at the bottom of the screen when accessing email.

I fixed it by going to Settings, General and Accessibility. Then I disabled the Bold setting. I then got a message saying the iPhone had to restart. Once it restarted, the email toolbar was restored and back to normal.

This may have been caused by a recent Apple software update, but who knows? I hope this helps.
