You have to ring Telstra and ask them to increase it, it's the same for all carriers on any mobile phone. 30 sec is the max for Telstra and Vodafone is 25 sec. Not sure what Optus is.
At present calls go to Voicemail after three rings on my 3G iphone. How do I increase the number of rings? Thank you

You could try the following service command... (enter on phone)
**61*mailboxnumber*11*30# {SEND}
Where mailboxnumber is your three didgit mailbox number. On some phones you will need to pause a little before pressing the asterisx a second time or it changes to a + sign. Not sure about iphone as I don't have one. You will see "Divert Active" if successful.
This is a standard GSM code to increase rings to max 30 secs. (you can replace the 30 with any number 5, 10, 15, 20 etc but up to a max of 30 secs. Also must be 5 sec increments I think.) Funnily enough I have two 3G phones with 3 (hutch) and the code works to extend the ring for them. Your mileage may vary. Worth a shot though.
Cheers
Thank you. I rang Telstra and they fixed it.
Evad is dead on the money. Telstra's mailbox number is 61101.
Just done this on my Telstra 3G iPhone...
I feel like everytime I do a software update this setting resets back to 2 rings? Very annoying...
Its a network setting, not a handset setting.
