    Default Unlocking Optus

Kai, I have searched even google for this, all I get is mactalk posts about the iphone.

I have a samsung e250 which is locked to optus, how do I go about getting this unlocked, or is it not even really worth it? Its about 1.5 years old I believe.

    Does anyone know?

Contact Optus. They will unlock it. Since it's really old, you should not be charged any fees for unlocking. You should also have topped up over $80 in value over the 18 months. Ask them to unlock it at no charge via your helpdesk number (555?).

Network locking: Handsets are locked to the Optus Network. An $80 fee applies if network locking is removed within the first six months of activation. Alternatively, if you have recharged to the value of $80 no fee applies.

Oh alright! Sounds good, I shall call them tomorrow. I certainly have gone over $80. Their website is terrible, just quietly.
