    Default Am I about to lose my me.com email?

    I have two computers running 10.6, and a 2nd gen iPod touch. I assume this means iCloud is not going to be available to me.

    Does this mean I will lose my me.com email address when mobileme dies?

    I really do not want to have to pay for a new touch and the 10.7 upgrade for the computers. Very happy with things the way they are.

    Ch-ch-changes... but fear not.

    When you log in to the MobileMe website (me.com), it should prompt you to switch to iCloud. You'll keep your @me.com email address, and can use iCloud services through the iCloud website.

    What you won't be able to do is sync contacts, calendars etc on your Macs/iPod until you upgrade to Lion/iOS5, though I assume you can still use your desktop mail client for emails.

    The only reason I am yet to switch to iCloud is I don't want to lose photo gallery. I hope they come up with an alternative before the end of June.

    Excuse me if I'm missing something, but I migrated to iCloud months ago and can still access photo gallery and iDisk by going back to me.com
