    Default Weird printer problems

    Currently having a weird problem where my Epson Stylus RX690 and Brother HL-1430 printers, which are connected by USB to my Macbook Pro, are not working any more. I tried them on a PC, and they print fine. I recently installed a HP printer at work, which may have somehow played havoc with the connections.

    i've now uninstalled all the printers and reset the print queue, but no luck. When I connect the Epson, it recognizes the printer in the 'Add new printer' menu, but comes up with the error 'An error occurred while trying to add the printer'. Have done the latest drivers etc.

    Any ideas at all?

    Have also changed USB port etc.

    Have you tried removing the HP software? I have had trouble with some HP printer software before.

    Thanks, but it hasn't worked. I'm not keen to have to call a Macshop.....
