    Default New Macbook Pro 15" Bezel is yours Silver or black?

    Hi guys!!

    Just a bit confused,

    Looking at buying a new 15" macbook pro today from the Apple site,

    I have been watching some unboxing videos on youtube and some come with a silver bezel and some with a black one,

    is the silver one because the resolution is different?

    I really prefer the black myself,

    Any advice????

    Ah ok so the normal base model will be black, cool, thanks for that!

    Yes, the glossy screen is black.

    I had a look at the anti glare and it is very nice, just a damn shame about the ugly silver bezel :S

    I have the glossy screen and while it is reflecty, I have never found it to be an issue.

    Yeah, I'm not a fan of the silver bezel at all.

    Glad it's black on the glossy screen!!

    It's not silver, it's the same colour and material as the rest of the case.

    I got the matte display with the aluminium bezel,... it's dead sexy, dont let anyone else tell you different. Of course the black glass is nice as well, but I use my MBP for work in typically lit offices where the reflective qualities of the glossy are definitely an issue.

    Some satin/matte metallic grey, with a slightly textured/mottled appearance. Not the colour of silver, not even close.

    As the first images of the matte screen MBPs appeared on the web the bezel did seem off-colour - much brighter, silver or chrome like. Many people (incl myself) were put off by this, but seeing the aluminium bezel in the flesh makes it clear that this is a much more elegant and clean look than the all-glass black fingerprint magnet.

    I too have been puzzled by the grey bezel and the Apple store folks didn't have an answer. The screen cover on the units with the grey bezel is much "softer" than the glass on the black bezel units. However, all the Macbook Air units come with a grey bezel and a more flexible screen cover. I was told by an Apple engineer during a call to Apple Tech Support that the "softer" screens are "glass" but it must be a much thinner glass to be as flexible as it is. Any other thoughts on this?

    New info: I should have paid more attention! Checked the Apple web site again and it clearly shows the matte screen with the grey bezel and the glossy screen with the black bezel. I have the matte screen and I am very happy with it and I happen to like the grey (aluminum?) bezel.

    yep, i reckon the ssilver looks dead sexy too. I love mine and tyhank god i went for the high res antiglare on my i7....makes a world of a difference compared to my old mbp in any lighting
