Default MacBook Pro (alu) making beeping noises!?!

    Hi all,

Just randomly my MacBook Pro 15" aluminum (2 months old) started making beeping noises. Is there a reason for this? And now it has just stopped, but am just curious to know why it is making those noises.

    Thanks,
    ChrisG.

What sort of beeping noises (what did they sound like)? What were you doing at the time? What changed when the noises came on?

There's a flash ad that uses a loud, annoying beep that a few people have been tricked by.

It was like a normal BEEP sound, but repeating itself every second? I wasn't browsing the internet at the time. But something to note is when I would mute the speakers it would stop, but when I would un-mute them it would start again.
