This PDF was emailed to me just a couple of minutes ago. It’s a 48-page document, instructing Telstra’s salespeople on how to sell the iPhone. There’s a nugget of info in there with details on the plans for the 3G S, but unfortunately, no pricing.
They do mention however that the iPhone will be available on NextG caps – which don’t suck anywhere near as hard as their other plans (but are still the lowest value in the market). They also confirm that Telstra will not allow tethering and will not enable Visual Voicemail on the iPhone. God knows why, but hey, this is Telstra. There will not be a cheaper upgrade path for current iPhone users either: “ETCs (early termination charges) do apply for both the BYO and non-BYO offer when customers take up a plan. The ETCs are calculated as per the current ETC calculator.”
Because of the lack of actual plan info, I am mainly putting it up here for it’s educational value (and probably piss-take photoshop opportunities) – there’s a whole bunch of sales scripts and really simple product demos. So when you’re at T-Life, see if your Telstra salesperson did well in their iPhone training. Or even if you want to convince that stubborn Windows loving friend (why are you friends with someone who loves Windows anyways?), use these simple Jedi mind tricks to bring them over to our side.
