If you didn’t need enough proof that all those rumours of Apple buying some big name company were balls out wrong, the Apple 2.0 blog compares companies Apple has actually purchased versus those some link hungry blog has made up.
MMS is coming to the iPhone, which is great. However, 1st-gen iPhone users are going to be left out in the cold, unable to send pictures of their wang via MMS. MacLife looked into why this could be and the results turned out to be inconclusive. Maybe someone else can help investigate why this is so.
AT&T released an iPhone app that lets you check your usage, pay your bill and access other AT&T services. It looks good and works well. Now, who wants to bet an Australian telco will actually do this? Yeah, I figured no-one would take me up on that.
The maker of iFart Alert is raking in $2000 a day via ads in his (you know it’s a dude – women wouldn’t lower themselves to such an endeavour) application.
Rolando 2 is coming soon. Here’s a suspense filled EPIC trailer for it up on YouTube.
The long running Buzzle saga isn’t over yet – the liquidators claim Apple was acting as a “shadow director” of Buzzle while it was insolvent, and hence, is liable for the debts Buzzle ran up at the time. The case is still in the NSW Supreme Court.
There’s bugger all new Apple news that’s not utter bullshit, totally US-centric or interesting this morning, so I’m gonna do some plugging of MacTalk stuff. We have launched two new podcasts – Can Touch This, which is all about iPhone apps and MacTalk Interviews, where we chat to people doing cool things with Apple related technology.
I’m looking for someone to make these new podcasts logos & theme music – I’m a cheapskate with no money and no prizes (let’s blame the global financial crisis and not my incompetence..) so if you can help out, you get Best Friend Forever status on MacTalk.
There’s also our lovely sponsors Warcom, RAM City & MacFixIt in the sponsors forum – so be sure to check them out for bargains.
Let us not forget MacTalk’s Apple online store affiliate link – if you’re thinking of purchasing anything at all from Apple’s online store, please use this link and give MacTalk a little kickback in return for all the helpful advice, light comedic relief and blood pressure increasing flame wars you’ve enjoyed over the years.
You can also follow MacTalk on the Twitters. We’ll keep you up to date on the latest forum threads and blog posts, as well as witty banter and insight from yours truly. 1600 followers can’t be wrong!
