    Default Collector of old macs seeks old macs - obviously!

    Hi all,

    I appreciate the assistance I've been given on this forum recently, with several people going out of their way to find boot disks, and bits and pieces to get my Mac Plus running well again.

    I thought I would put my hand up for anyone who wants to dispose of an old mac or Apple product. I love collecting this stuff, and as you can see from my signature, I love adding a computer or 6 to the collection. Rather than it going to landfill, I'd be more than happy to take them off your hands. I am on the Gold Coast, but I'm happy to travel around to pick some up.

    If you're interstate, I am happy to pay postage (however, a Mac Classic size is getting close to the maximum size Aus Post will take!)

    I wouldn't have posted this if I had not recently come across people who just want to throw them away, so I've posted this in the hope I can save a couple of old Apples.

    I have a 7600/200 (just before the first G3) that your welcome too as well about 8 iMac shells in lots of different colours including the hippy one.

    I too have have some stuff that I want to give away (but I am in Melbourne).
    I can get a list together and post some pics here in the next week or so.

    FWIW: the Flower Power iMac shell is worth a lot of $$$$

    Hi, that would be great! I've priced getting a Power Mac 5500 from Sydney. Aus Post wouldn't take it, so the courier did - $60 later!

    But if they are smaller machines, I would be interested. Thanks!

    I have a Mac LC II complete (Processor unit, 14" colour screen, Keyboard & mouse, complete essentials pack and with stylewriter II printer as well), all in original boxes. If you are interested, and pay for shipment, you can have the lot for free.

    Why are they always in Victoria? You guys have a plentiful supply down there!

    I appreciate the offer very much, but I just invested in a Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh (TAM) that has sent me broke. My wife is very annoyed with me at the moment!

    I really wish I could get this from you, I need a pay rise. I can imagine the postage on all of that would be in excess of $100 too. I really wish I was down there when I started collecting.

    I have a Macintosh Plus which I have no further need for, and which I would rather goes to a good home. I am however in Brisbane. Are you able to pick it up? I also have a Power Macintosh 7200/90.

    I have a Mac Power PC 7500/100 running OS7.51 with 14 inch apple monitor, UMAX Scanner, 2 Stylewriter 2500 ink jet printers. I also have a Mac PowerBook 1400cs/166 running OS8. These have been used with original verions of Quark Exprees, Adobe Illustrator v5. All software discs and manuals. This all dates from 1995 (approx). The PowerBook was given to me at a later date. I was also given a G3 with monitor (Philips) and extra keyboard. I have no further use for the equipment. I live in Brisbane (South East). If you are interested in this equipment please let me know. I need the space but I would like to avoid just contributing to landfill.

    Hi, sorry i haven't responded yet to your offers yet of the old Mac equipment. I wasn't monitoring my thread and the newer layout doesn't make it easy to see. I would still be interested with the Brisbane guys if it is not too late. Thanks again!

    I have the following that all work and I would like
    them to go to a collector rather than landfill.

    5500 Black
    6400 Box only
    G4 Quicksilver
    Apple II GS Box, monitor, keyboard, mouse
    another Apple Monitor
    Many Apple disks including OS disks
    Many floppy disks
    Keyboards old and new
    Rewriters External
    Whatever else I can find...

    Possibly showing my age here but if anyone wants a Apple IIc and/or a Apple II (maybe a +) contact me and come and collect from Cherrybrook NSW. I have no idea whether they will work so count on them on not working. No monitors or accy's, just the CPU (I have the power adapter brick for the IIc)

    Don't know how to say caveat emptor when I am happy to give them away to a good home.
