You might want to cut down that piece of foam so it doesn't block the cooling vents. Those Porsche drives get very hot, I've had two die due to heat.

Whoa, didn't think of that Maybe I'll just cut it down to a couple of thin strips to prop it up.

My cluttered workspace. Time for a revamp.

Time to add a challenge to this thread - post the most dangerous number of appliances you run from a wall socket. I've got 15 USB devices, most requiring power, as well as macs, drives, peripherals, TV, record player etc etc etc. Time to get my own generator.

    Default update update

you can view my setup on this page

    http://forums.mactalk.com.au/showthr...=17122&page=25

but there have been some changes:
-Sold some of the radios (3),
    -bought some more (2)
    -junked one of the printers
    - increased the number of coax feeds from antennae on the roof from 4 to 6 ( along with adding some more antennae of course.)
-increased the interconnections from radio to PC (or mac) from 1 to 3
    - added a current isolating radio/PC interface so that excess signal strength from the radio doesnt blow the bejeezus out of the sound card.
-upgraded most of the coax from RG58 (thin) to RG213 (fat - yes, in this case size does matter - thin = lossy, fat = low loss ),
-added a windows XP PC to run the ham radio software.
    - added a new 4 port kvm switch for the non-mac computers
    - and a few other pieces of shrapnel that I just "had to have"

Still as "tidy" as before, but I like it that way

    Tim R
    Come, sit beside me
    I said to myself
and though it doesnt make sense
As a small sign of trust
    I held my own hand
and together I sat on the fence

    Gday jpicard

Well as menchioned the server is running freebsd 6.2

This one is a bit of a tricky one to explain but i will try. The server is running muliple peices of software

    1. Mailscanner
    2. Spamassasin
    3. Clamav
    4. Postfix
    5. Running Samba Server

How this is configured is that all mail is received postfix holds all mail in a directory, then the mailscanner / clamav / spamassasin scan for viruses, check the contents of the mail for anything that could be spam ie the viagra emails. If it doens't find anything it will then deliver the email to the mailbox.

The mail scanner software can block attatchments, if a attachment is found that isn' appropriate it will automatically email the send and advise i belive you will get a copy of the email too or whom ever you have designated as postmaster.

If you are running freebsd and install mailscanner from the ports tree, it wil automatically install Mailscanner, spamassasin, Clamav. You will need to configure the software when it is installed. I have not attempted this setup with sendmail.

Also i am happy to provide help on setting this up just pm me or chuck me a email.
