Have you tried looking on their websites?

I think you'll find that they use streaming windows audio format, which won't work in iTunes. QuickTime with Flip2Mac should work, however.

AFAIK, Nova FM have a Nova iPhone application that's freely obtained on the App store.

Search for Nova and you'll be listening on your iPhone which is getting closer to iTunes.

Now I don't claim to even understand how this works, youngin, but try it anyhow:

    • Launch iTunes
    • Click the Radio icon in the Source column
    • Go to Advanced on the Menu Bar and select "Open Audio Stream" or press ⌘ + U)
    • In the window that opens copy & paste the following url into it
    • http://114.141.193.20:15010/
    • Press OK and you should be listening to Nova FM.

I don't live in Vic so you wlll need to verify that this is indeed the Nova FM you are after

youngin, you don't realise how much this has made my day ... I thought about it ever since I posted the fix ... I thought about it first thing in the morning and I was happy to see a notification email in my inbox, that there was a new post in your Thread.

I'm only new to this forum despite my joining year being 2007, and when half goon half god advised that it was unlikely that iTunes would come up with the goods, I took it upon myself to rise to the challenge.

I am only too happy that you can listen to Nova FM from within iTunes and will accept the challenge of finding the URL's of whichever stations are your favourites.

Having said that, now that we see it's possible to use iTunes to tune into local radio, it's quite possible that there will be other members who already know how to extract a streaming URL from the Activity Window of their respective browsers .... or from whatever other means there are to achieve the same end.

well i thought there must be a way since there are a 1000 radio stations already tuned in, the thing is once you put i.e. Nova in, it saves it in the music play list...which is fine really

I wish it would save it in the Radio section.

Also some websites (like JJJ when you select the mp3 stream) let you listen live and when you click the link it automatically plays it through iTunes (well it does on my system anyway - not shore if I configured it that way long ago).
