Default NAT setting xbox 360 live

I have been trying to get my xbox live settings from moderate to open. I have disabled NAT settings on my router (Dynalink RTA1046VW and previously Billion 7404VGO)- no change. I have set the appropriate port-forwarding setting on the router - no change. I have set up the DMZ host setup - no change.
Neither of the routers I have used changed the NAT settings from moderate to open with the recommendations I have tried. Xbox live have said it is a router issue, Dynalink say they can only help to the extent above, Billion had no further suggestions.
Could this be a Mac issue - I have all firewalls etc disable? I am using a wireless router.
    Any clues?

Would you mind drawing a diagram or describing how your network is set up and how he xbox is connected. Your explanation is not very good.

    Heres an example

My diagram would be worse than my words! However:
The phone line comes to the Dynalink modem/router, there is a lan connection to the Mac, the Xbox is connected by WAN from the modem/router via a wireless USB connection on the Xbox. Sorry if that is not clear enough. thanks for trying to help.

    So like that?

If so you should have NAT enabled not disabled. If that does not work try forwarding these ports to the XBox 360:

    -UDP 88
    -TCP 3074
    -UDP 3074

Do the forwarding with NAT enabled. Also make sure that your network has a STATIC (Unchanging or permamnet) IP address so that you don't need to keep re forwarding your ports.

Also a moderate NAT setting does not really hurt your online experience at all. Most of the time the Xbox is wrong when it gives you its NAT report anyway and Halo 3 is especially famous for false NAT reports.

    Hi elnewb
Thank you for the diagram and information. I have the port settings enabled as you advised and a static IP. You are probably correct regarding the 'moderate' NAT setting on xbox live. As it stands I'll keep gaming regardless. Thank you again.
