I had a play with my network setting last night and deleted my ethernet connection and then re activated it. During this time I thought my connection to the internet was PPPoE and played with some of those settings, but in fact I am connected to the net via my router and a cable modem, which my iMac automatically configures.
Now I have a ethernet symbol on my toolbar which when i click says 'No PPPoE Configurations were found'
I never had this symbol show on my toolbar before, can I remove it somehow?
hold down Command (the Apple key) and drag it out of the menu bar, it should *pop* away.
