Default Ipod Nano difficult USB connector problem

    Hi all,

Just got my new Ipod Nano (3rd generation) 8 gig. Wonderful little player, and a nice upgrade from my 1st generation Nano which served me well for years.

    Just one issue..

The usb connecting at the bottom of the Nano is almost 'violent' in connecting and disconnecting. Well a lot more force than the smooth 'click' in the 1st Nano I had. There really isnt a click, its just a very forced push in and pull out.

Im sort of worried that this is going to be extreme wear and tear in a short space. Is this normal for the Nano, loosening up over time..or is this a fault?

    Any experiences appreciated.

    Thanks.

I don't think it will be much of a problem over time. I recently made the same transition and noticed that the cable for the third gen one doesn't have the "pushy bits" to release the cable (Monday mind here, I can't think of the right name for them) that were on my first gen nano cable. The little teeth that hold the cable in place seem to be slightly springy though, so I don't think there would be much of an issue over time. Well, I am hoping not anyway!
