Default iPod Touch iTunes Store logout- how?

I've been playing with an iPod Touch someone gave me to help them update.

In the course of playing with it I logged into .Mac mail to send myself a message.

I think that's how the iPod iTunes store got my details and so now I see my account name logged in in the iPod iTunes store and I can't figure out how to log it out before I give the Touch back tomorrow.

    Help.

I dont know how to log out - but i noticed that it changed my iPhone changed its iTunes login when i sycned with iTunes so i think it has to do with that.

I currently have two iTunes accounts (i dont know why). One account is my .mac address and the other account is my yahoo address. When i changed my iTunes account from .mac to yahoo in iTunes Ive noticed that my iPhone did the same.

    yeah scruffie is right...
I have 3 iTS accounts (Japan, US and Aust) which ever account I am logged into is the account it uses...

    3 ideas that I haven't tried
log out of the store in iTunes.. and connect iPod..
create a new profile with no account and connect iPod
create a dummy account (with no credit card) and leave that as the logged in account

    just brainstorming...

Your other ideas may work too, but this is the first one I tried - and it's on the money.

    Thanks Kuma and Scruffie.

What an odd design quirk though, that you are locked into a logged in state on your iPod until you connect again to a Mac.

It's especially annoying when I go away for a week, want to grab the free track or a new album off of the WiFi store, only to discover the gf has been buying audio books on the iMac again and left her account logged in...

I really hope they change it so that you can log into any account that the ipod is authorized for.
