Mine was received by Apple on Dec. 29th, and they posted a replacement on Jan. 6th. Serial no. indicates that it's a 6th. gen. 8gb. silver one. I liked the 1st. gen. nano, but I'm very happy to get a new one!

After Australia Post screwed up the delivery, and took nearly a week to sort it out, my shiny new 8Gb 6th gen nano was delivered today.

Once again, Apple under-promised and over-delivered.

The tracking ID that Apple provided is coming up on the Aust. Post website as 'invalid tracking ID.' Has anyone else had this problem?

when did you check it after having the email sent to you? i remember not reading the email properly, and initially it came up as invalid. after awhile, it was ok.

Still getting this, days after the email was sent. ( Apple says to wait for up to 24hrs. before the tracking ID becomes 'active'.)

My 8GB silver sixth generation iPod Nano arrived on Friday which was a pleasant surprise.
It works perfectly with the iPod connectivity in my car (Ford Focus Zetec) which is great as the old iPod Nano first generation I was using in the car was a little flaky - it would sometimes say 'disconnected' and I'd need to unplug and replug it into the USB socket in the centre console.

received my ipod nano today... for some reason id check the tracking page and it said "onboard with driver", but the auspost driver did a typical runner. i had to chase her down. overall, im happy. means i have a new nano for my bedside listening and in my car.

Received our 8GB silver Nano today, not bad for a 1gb 1st Gen Nano that has almost hit the bin a few times now...

Same here. 8GB silver delivered, just over a week after sending off the old 4GB white one via the AusPost store. Mind you the old one was in perfect nic having lived in a case since its birth and largely used in the car. The new one will do the same..

    Thank you Apple.

anyone using the new nano's on the older speaker docks? mine turns off after 2-3 tracks (~10-15mins) when docked, but will play endlessly when used with headphones.

Ok since people don't want to answer my question on another forum, I thought MTAU would be a better option.

My friend is sending me his 1st gen nano. I have plugged the serial number into the Apple website to check if the ipod was eligible. I then logged into my account and closed the browser. Does this mean I have registered it?

Is it just me or does clicking on the "Click here to begin" not work anymore.

Apple - Support - iPod nano Replacement Program

Figure I might as well send in my 1st gen nano 4gb seeing as it exploded today
