Default Snow Leopard doesn't connect to Novell drive using AFP

Since updating to Snow Leopard on Friday I have found that I can no longer connect to some of the University shared drives. My understanding is that these drives are Novell Netware.

It seems that authentication works, but when I enter my password and login, I get an error stating

    Connection failed
There was an error connecting to the server "XXX.XXX.XX.XXX". Check the server name or IP address, and then try again.
I used to connect to this drive via an AFP:// link in Finders connect to server pull down.

    EDIT:
Looks like I am not alone.

Its a known issue, and rather frustrating as it was reported some time back. What Uni are you testing this at ?
There are two major products that came out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX.

Simple solution, tell them to get rid of Novell

If only....At RMIT i'm sure we'll have the same issue.

Just thought I would update this.

    1) Apple know that this is a bug and are "dealing" with it.

    2) Novell realising how bad this is are issuing a patch in late September which should hopefully fix things from their end.
