Default The "My Snow Leopard Is or Is Not Shipping!" Thread [Merged!]

Fellow MacTalkers, whip out that credit card ASAP! Snow Leopard hits your Mac on August 28th. Crappy box art and all. An actual Snow Leopard on the front? Really Apple? Jesus H. Christ... Anyways, 10.6 comes on the 28th of August and you can pre-order it now via the Apple Online Store.

It's only AU$39 for Leopard users! Or score the Box Set, which includes iLife '09 and iWork '09, as well as Snow Leoaprd, for $229. For the low-down on Snow Leopard and what it brings to the table, visit Apple's Snow Leopard website. Pre-order now and it will be delivered to your front door on the 28th of August. No lining up or sweaty, geeky, masses for you.

If there's any stores doing midnight launches or anything crazy like that, let us know.

i am thinking twice about pre-ordering, if any Apple store, CompNow or NextByte are planning on throwing something in, i might want to buy in-store...

Sweet. Pre-ordered, and if my 10.5 experience repeats itself it should be on my doorstep Friday morning, and ready for me to install when I get back from work.

PS: There's nothing wrong with the box art. Jeez, some people will whinge about anything.

So, those of us not wanting to use a CC,
can we walk in to an Apple store, or resellers store & pick it up on Friday?

The way it's worded doesn't seem to indicate it will be on shelves on the 28th.

It's too literal. It's called Snow Leopard and has a photo of a snow leopard on it. I prefer the big X design of the previous releases.

Edit: It's not really a big issue, it's just, you know, obvious. Maybe the big X could be reserved for the major updates like 10.5 was, and 10.7 will, presumably, be.

Put the install disk into a disk drive on another Mac and use the remote disk utility or use an external DVD drive plugged into the USB port.
