hey guys,
I know there's more than a couple of illustrator/adobe CS gurus around, so I thought I'd ask a quick question :
I'm currently making a bunch of logos and stuff in AI (CS3) and finding that some parts of the screen aren't redrawing properly when I pan/zoom around.
By which I mean, pieces of the artwork are missing blocks.
The problem goes away if I zoom in then back out, or if I pick up an object and wave it over the affected area.
It's a bit annoying, to say the least. I can't find any options in Illustrator Preferences for display drawing (other than a slider for the hand tool).
Anyone come across this before and know what's up?
Example :
The white rectangle that seems to be drawn over the top of the other stuff should NOT be there. It's not a vector object either, it's a screen artifact! It will go away if I pan/zoom.
Cheers
Jeremy

Is your page size so big that your computer can't keep up with your commands? Might be a memory problem.
That is probably it!
While the doc itself is only 1.2Mb on disk, it's a big canvas. I think I probably set it up as a print document, A4 size. Not sure though as I can't get illustrator to tell me anything about the document (other than 'A4').
This machine does have 2gb RAM, I will try mucking around with scratch disk settings or something..
