Default Safari not loading https sites

    Hey,

My Parents' emac has a problem, therefore I have a problem

Safari won't load https sites - like banking or any only shopping etc. It's only been doing it since I updated to 10.5.6 from 10.5.5.

Sometimes mucking around with TCP/IP settings 'fixes' it (for a little while). I set a static IP and thought that fixed it, but it turned out it didn't.

Problem still occurs on another (new) user account.

Awhile ago the eMac couldn't get online at all (ethernet, ADSL) and I turned off IPv6, which fixed it.

Any ideas? This is becoming a problem..

    Cheers
    Jeremy

I know this is a long shot - but is the system clock on the eMac correct?

I had this problem with a TiBook a while back - but from your explanations, it sounds like an intermittent problem?

EDIT: Did you try browsing with an alternate browser, like Firefox, to see if the problem persists?
