Default CrossOver for free for one day

    Hey everyone,

Codeweavers (www.codeweavers.com) have issued a press release stating that CrossOver Mac/Games/Linux will each be free for one day (Tuesday 28th October).

See the Press Release for further details.

Personally I'm going to give this a go so I can finally finish those games I've been putting off because I hate rebooting.

I'm guessing this is based on US times?

I don't think so. CST is GMT -6 and OZ(EDT) is GMT+11, so, 12 AM Tuesday would be 5 PM Wednesday here (it only one hour more than PDT for those of us that read webcomics)

Perhaps it would be a good idea to put this on the front page so people are aware of it? I mean, it is only for one day.

Runs the Windows application (if compatible) without the need for the Windows OS to be installed (thus no Windows license needed)

Still waiting, though after I registered, I closed the browser tab, then went back and noticed I was logged in.

They let you download the demo which you can unlock to the full version once the e-mail comes through.

I tried installing Steam but will probably need to wait until I get home as it fails during the MSXML download and install.

I believe it also lets you run applications requiring direct x, which VMWare does not? I would like to stand corrected on that one

Installed it, waiting to see if they've made any improvements over the last time I tried it.

    (and it sucked hard).

hm, I have a feeling it's to do with free email accounts. I entered my gmail account and still have received no email, so I did it again using my work email and got it straight away. Maybe try a non free, or ISP based email account if you have one.
