    Default Imac G4 Questions

    hey guys im currently watching a 20inch imac g4 on ebay.i was wondering if i should get it because these are fairly dated machines. I was wondering if they would break within the next year?

    It really depends on the price. Personally, I wouldn't bother.

    It could easily die in the next year.

    Or, may go on for the next 20. I have plenty of old Macs/Apples that are still running, 20+ years after their creation dates.

    I helped my parents buy an iMac G4 last year as their first ever computer. I don't anticipate it will die any time soon. It can still run the latest Mac OS. It's reasonably speedy. It looks cool.

    Go for it I say.

    becayse the imac g4s are sexy machines. i reckon they look better than the current imacs(even though i have one)

    I bought a 20" iMac G4 off this site from Barton in September last year. The old girl is still going strong. Only issue she has is that there is a propensity to get screen burn very quickly. Other than that, she runs beautifully.
    It was the price in the end that made me take the plunge. Picked it up for under $500.
    Something about Jimby.
